An unremarkable month with temperatures and rainfall running close to the average for the month. There was one very brief snowy interlude mid-month, but this was short lived.

A very typical November; cold, wet and windy. Rainfall for the month was very high at 127 mm compared to the district average of 54 mm.

An autumnal month; relatively cool and windy and with higher than average rainfall. It was very wet mid-month and towards the end of the month we started to see the first indications of winter.

A wet and relatively windy month with rainfall twice the average for the month. Temperatures were lower than normal with no signs of an "Indian Summer". A very autumnal month.

After the summer heat of the previous months, it was back to normal in August. Temperature was about average, but there were no hot periods, as in previous months.
Rainfall was twice the average, with 50 mm (2 ins) falling on the 12th alone - not so glorious for some!

An interesting month. Rainfall 20% below average but despite the media hype, the temperature was 3 deg C less than the record set in 2006. There have only been 3 UK heatwaves in the last 40 years and as recent warming is now showing signs of decreasing, I think the forecast of heatwaves being the norm is somewhat exagerated. Remember in 2001 when it was forecast that snow in the UK would become a memory in less than 5 years?!

Rainfall for the month was lower than average with the final week or so producing some very hot and dry weather. The highest temperature reached was 28.6 C on the 28th June.

Strong wind is unusual for the month of June but the 14th saw gusts reaching 69.2 km/hr during a very windy spell.

After a long winter, May was a month of complete contrast to previous months.
Rainfall was 20% less than the average and when the mist brought on shore by East winds was burnt off, we had some very pleasant and increasingly warm days.

Winter continued into April with an above average level of precipitation in the early part of the month. Temperatures improved for a few days during the third week of the month but cooled down again towards the end. April was the sixth month in succession to have lying snow at some stage during the month.

An exceptionally wet and wintry month with precipitation four times the average for March.
At Glanton, snowfall has featured at some stage each month for the last five months and the indications are that April will continue the trend into a sixth month. It all goes to make for a very long winter with considerable stress being imposed on wildlife and farm stock etc.

A wetter than average February but most notable for heavy snow at the very end of the month. The snow was the heaviest since February 2013 and appears likely to last for the first week into March.

A relatively unremarkable and typical January. Rainfall was about 50% higher than average but temperatures were well within the seasonal norms. The wind made itself felt in the last few days of the month with gusts in excess of 50mph.
