Community
Glanton Memorial Hall was opened on the 22nd of October 1930 as our tribute to the heroes of the First World War. The hall has acted as the centre of our community during the last eighty years. It has hosted many memorable events and provided a venue for meetings and celebrations of local groups and the celebrations of local families.
The hall is run by a small dedicated committee whose purpose is to ensure that the hall is always ready to offer a pleasant venue for your meetings, events or celebrations. The committee's role is to ensure that the hall is always clean and well maintained and that sufficient funds are generated to ensure that all costs of the hall can be covered. To this end we organise various fund raising events during the year. We are also here to provide support to individuals who wish to organise events for the benefit of our community.
